Nature Connection: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Updated: May 8, 2021

In Ecotherapy, important practices involve activating and engaging all of our senses. This allows us to sink deeper than the mind-space, into a place of direct relationship with nature. It is also a place of Deep Perception and Deep Noticing.
.
The 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Method allows us to directly engage with nature by perceiving with intention. In this practice:
Deeply Notice and identify:
5 things you can see
4 things you can hear
3 things you can smell
2 things you can touch
1 thing you can taste.
.
This is a tangible practice that allows us to begin to cultivate direct relationship with the natural world.
